Interviewed For The God Idea Podcast

Had the privilege of being interviewed by Dan Lee For ‘The God Idea podcast.’ Was a really special time. Thanks for having me Dan.

Here is what Dan wrote and some of his notes/links below:

In this podcast we discuss the creative process of documentary film making and how we can reunite orphans with their parents with Samuel Rich. Samuel is a filmmaker, photographer and advocate for family preservation and orphan care.

His latest documentary Lost Kites tells the story of three orphaned children from China, India and Brazil has toured with the film to over 12 different nations and won multiple awards. The film has been televised in multiple countries and now is available on Amazon to stream.

On the podcast Samuel shares his incredible adventure of how God led him and his team to help change government policy in Panama in while in the process discovered God had set him an assignment to use film to highlight the global need for ‘family reunification’ – enabling institutionalised orphans to be re-connected with existing family and in many cases original parents who were previously not able to support their children due to poverty.

Samuel talks through how he hears God in the creative process of planning and directing, unpacks how the church today can love orphans wisely and gives a golden nugget at the end on creative comparison and honouring God with our creativity. I think you will be really inspired, challenged and encouraged!
