From China To ‘The Shire’ (Cornwall, England)

2 Years And 23 Countries In!

HIGHLIGHTS OF The Past Few Months-

  • Filmed the final “Eloy” (child) of our epic adventure in
China/Thailand. Two years of travelling over, now to editing!

  • Nan made it through her abdominal cancer surgery.

  • Interviewed by Premier Christian Radio UK about Eloy.

  • Shared the project with churches, a drive in meeting, and friends at Creation Fest.

Since my last update the ‘Eloy Project’ team and I have finalised filming in China and Thailand and now are beginning the six month post-production phase. I am temporarily in the UK, see why and whats next below.

#KeepBeating – A Families Fight To Keep Their Daughter Alive.

After 23 countries, two years of travelling across the globe, many memories and lessons learned the production phase of the Eloy Project is over.  In our final chapter of filming God lead us to a Chinese foster family doing everything possible to save their daughters life by trying to find her extensive heart surgery. Something incredible happened but you’ll have to watch our movie to find out more 😉

What’s Next?

Editing and lots of it. With the script already being worked on, we have to organise literally hundreds to thousands of hours of footage from across the globe into a 70-90 minute documentary over a six month period…so please pray!

Unexpected July/August In My Homeland

After an unexpected detour to England for a family emergency I was able to see my grandma through her intense cancer surgery, I am pleased to report she is doing incredibly well and the doctors are amazed at her recovery from the life threatening procedure (and more life threatening cancer). So far it looks like they got all of the cancer and God seems to have a few more years for her yet. By no means is it an easy road though, she has to adjust to a different size stomach and reduced oesaphagus size, this means a total change in diet and other aspects of her life, so please keep her in your prayers; she is still recovering. As well as this I was reunited with my father, my sister, her boyfriend and will get to see my mum in a weeks time.
British photo for my international friends. Seriously unless I was also drinking tea with a bowler hat you can’t get more British!

Whats Next? 6 Months Of Video Editing In The USA

What was unexpected in coming to England was obviously no surprise to God. Once back in my homeland I discovered it would have been near impossible to get the sort of visa I needed to edit the documentary in North America with the rest of the team. Tomorrow the 12th of August I have my US visa appointment so please pray everything goes well and I can have my passport back within the week with the visa, ready to fly around the 28th of August. Once re-united with the team in September we will begin the sixth month editing process which will mean many, many hours on the computer before we can show our finished movie to the world. As always the flights, and the visa cost money so if you can donate towards the cost of being a non profit volunteer documentary filmmaker, click here!
Beginning the post-production process UK side with a Sarah Adams Creative Services consultation. In a few weeks continuing state side with the rest of the team.
